About Me

I'm a curious individual. I love to learn and apply what I learn to what I deem to be the most important problems for humanity. We live in dangerous times where humanity has the power to destroy itself in many ways. I hope to bring solutions to these existential problems. My primary focus is human augmentation through genetic engineering, morphological manipulation and synthetic biology. Through these means, I hope to stave off obsolescence of the human form in the shadow of overwhelming super-intelligent AI.

GitHub Projects

LNP-EE-Predictor: Builds on work by the LNP Atlas and LNPDB groups at the Korea Institute for Science and Technology and MIT to curate an open-source database of lipid nanoparticle formulations for ML analysis. I am developing, alongside Constantinos Skevofilax, a dockerized API with pre-processing, ML training and analysis code in Python to predict encapsulation efficiency of novel LNP formulations

Cranio-Facial-FEA: I am developing a finite element analysis model for cranio-facial bone remodeling, specifically focusing on orthotropic pressures (tongue pressure vs. mouth breathing).

YouTube Channel

I have a YouTube channel to discuss recent scientific publications in my main scientific interests of lipid nanoparticle chemistry, orthotropic bone remodeling, genetic engineering, and brain-machine interface engineering

Hobbies

Outside of work, I like to get away from the computer screen and into nature. I love snowboarding and sports; ice hockey and lacrosse are my favorite. On the intellectual side, I love history. I'm the type to read every plaque at historical sites on vacation. My other intellectual passion outside of work is art. I like to paint (oil is my jam) and I'm also the type to spend hours at art museums while my friends or family try to drag me out. Francisco Goya and Antoni Gaudi are two of my favorite artists. I view the human body like a work of art to be perfected, similar to one of their works.

Current Role

Disaggregated Manufacturing Engineer, Intel Corporation
since Sep. 2024

I work in advanced semiconductor packaging at Intel's Fab 9 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My primary responsibilities involve maintenance of the singulated die sort toolset, designing standard operating procedures, process health monitoring and development of quality management systems. Some of my accomplishments include ramping from ~50% to ~92% module availability as owner of operational indicators, reduction of backside mylar residue defect rate from 18% to 0% over 3 months and deployment of a new data analystics dashboard to monitor operational efficiency metrics.

Education

I studied Biophysics at the University of Texas at Austin. I wrote two papers in this time. For my senior biophysics thesis, I wrote about cellular mechanobiology: the effects of ECM mechanics on genetic expression and the effects of mechano-transduction pathways in bone tissue. For my Scientific Computing and Data Science certificate, I wrote about City of Austin Crime statistics.
